MICRONEEDLING

DSC_1131.jpg

Microneedling is a procedure that uses multiple small needles to puncture the skin of the face. These small punctures can help slow down the aging process by stimulating the skin to create collagen. As we age, we produce less collagen and our skin texture and tone diminishes. By creating small punctures with these needles in a pen like device, therapeutic skin products can then be applied and absorbed quickly.

Microneedling treatments are ideal for acne and injury scars, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, shallow wrinkles, stretch marks, large pores, and even hair loss. Patients can begin to see results between 4-6 months. A series of 3 treatments, one month apart, can be effective for best results. Overall, the procedure is pretty painless, as we use a topical numbing cream. Redness post treatment is quite common, so allow 24 hours before any special events. Make sure to wear sunscreen when your skin has healed and avoid the sun until redness subsides.

Average Treatment Time: 1-1.5 hours

Repeat: monthly for 3 months, then twice a year after that
