Xeomin®, Botox®, and Dysport® are called neuromodulators. A neuromodulator is a medicine that is injected into the muscles of the forehead, crow’s feet, and frown lines to help decrease the look of moderate to severe wrinkles in adults over the age of 18. Many people refer to these types of neuromodulators as just Botox®. In actuality, there are several products that can achieve the same results. For example Xeomin® and  Dysport® .There are slight variations in these neuromodulators, and I am here to help you choose what product is best for your desired results.

In general, neuromodulators are a great tool to help decrease wrinkles. A single treatment can last 3-4 months. There are other areas that can also be treated in addition to the areas listed above. The lower face wrinkles can also be treated to achieve harmony of the upper face areas. Treatment areas include: dimpling chin, lip wrinkles, under eye wrinkles, downturned mouth wrinkles, platysma bands (neck), and masseter muscles (jaw). Overall, treatment with any of the neuromodulators, when used consistently every 3-4 months, can help decrease the deep lines and wrinkles from muscle use.
